Conceptions of the Misunderstood

No fuss and pretense. Just my thoughts hard and fast. Like the way I should be.

The Present Ordeal

Presently, I am in the middle of reading (or going through) a novel that I have to review and pass because it will be the requirement that will comprise my mid-term grade. The novel's Sky Over Dimas by Vincente Garcia Groyon. It's one of those classic Filipino literary pieces that are masterpieces--Palanca winners. The story's beauty and rightful recognition for me is on the surface but somehow I managed to refuse to fully acknowledge it. The same goes for other tangible things that (as I acknowledge) are beautiful but do not really want to delve in to or are way to far in the leeway of what is appealing to me.
I'm rushing. The paper is due on Friday afternoon and today's Monday and I have just read 164 out of a total 258 pages. Sounds easy and filled with the luxury of time but as I realized, I have things and so many other things in between that I have to get over with.
It's my mini display of rebellion. I sit here, writing my thoughts on when I have to get to a vacuum which deserves all the ideas I will be needing.
'Til then...

An Update on the Latest

Here we go again, doing what we do best--updating the whole world about all the things we do from saving a nuclear warhead from going off to popping a zit. I'm thinking it's natural; people's lives aren't complete when we don't get to proclaim it to everybody. The urge is just inside... "They should know!" And what's funny is we know that it won't matter to them if we give them a blow by blow account of every single thing we do but we still write them on. After all, where's the fun in keeping experiences all to ourselves? We learn from our mistakes but do we have to wait 'til we commit them all? You learn not only from your mistakes but also from the mistakes of others.
That was an opener. Or rather a rant.
So the latest on me? Nothing much (I just proved my previous point.. hahaha!). Just going on, living life an hour at a time. I just had my very first absence this term. Well, it was a bit of a misunderstanding. I thought we had a free cut that day but it was otherwise. So there it went. But the prof doesn't check our attendance in that subject so what the hell. I got enough sleep, certainly not complaining about that!
Right now, I'm anticipating getting in to dancing again. It's been quite a long time since I last broke a groove. My friend talked me in to joining this dance competition in school. Actually the persuasion didn't take that long. It was like "Hey, do you wanna da..." and I cut he immediately "Sure, yeah!"
It's FIFA time once again. All roads lead to Germany this time. I'm rooting for Japan and England. Everybody likes to bet Brazil's gonna make it again. But betting for them entails completely no excitement. No edge at all.
So there we go. I'm done here. See y'all mediocrity infesting son of a...

RIsing from the Dead

After a bitching hiatus, yes ladies and germs, like it or not, I am back. Blame it on my jurassic state. I have been away from a pc for quite a long while. My pc's on my base home and the moment I get a new phone line, its shipping time for this little baby of mine to my condo unit (I love thinking it really is mine). Yeah, sure, good politicians are outnumbered by internet cafes today but I possibly cannot stand the multitude of people coming in and out of those doors. I need my own shell of undisturbed thought when I update my blog. It's an extension of myself.
Well, things have been pretty much alright for me in school. I'm still loving every minute of it. I had my first ever hosting gig in college last Wednesday and it did go pretty smooth. Considering that there were four of us, the work did seem fun after all. And after my friend's compliment, I am now thinking about signing up as a part of our school paper. But I gotta think things over and over. I have so much in mind to do. I really think three years in college is fun, specially when you're in DLSU.
And it was my Penguin's birthday last June 7. Read about what I did for her.
